PARENT-FRIENDLY DETAILS
Know Before You Go.
The goal is simple: To have a practical approach to providing first-time families with all the information they need from the start.

Is this their first class?
That’s okay. Beginner placement is based on age, experience and what will help your dancer learn safely and confidently.

What should they wear?
Kids should wear form-fitting, stretchy clothing to class so teachers can safely spot them and check their body alignment. Avoid baggy shirts or pants that can flip over their face when upside down.
Ballet / Tap:
Soft ballet shoes/ tap shoes
For Girls: snug leotard, pink or white footed tights, skirt is optional, hair in a bun, avoid heavy jewelry.
For Boys: A fitted plain white T-shirt, black leggings, shorts, or stretch pants.
Acro / Jazz:
No shoes/ jazz shoes
For Girls: A leotard, biketard, or fitted crop top/tank top paired with tight spandex shorts, footless tights, or leggings. Avoid baggy shirts or pants that can flip over their face when upside down.
For Boys: A fitted T-shirt or tank top with athletic shorts or leggings

Do parents participate?
Parents are only required for the Parent & I classes. In all other classes, your little royals will be busy dancing with the rest of the little dancers.

My Little Royal
A magical introduction to dance for little ones who love to move, pretend and explore.
Intencity’s My Little Royal class introduces beginning ballet, tap and jazz through an imaginative princess-inspired experience. Parents are invited into the fantasy world once each month, and yes — magic wands are part of the fun.
